Malaysian Trumpet Snails are a fantastic addition to any aquarium. 
These snails are truly heroes of the algae eating world often going unnoticed and under appreciated. 
They also burrow into substitutes and graze on waste this can help keep filter maintenance to a minimum. 
Malaysian Trumpet Snails work great with shrimp. You will often see shrimp grazing on the algae that can grown on the shells. 
With a lifespan of approximately 2 years these snails last well and breed regularly ( livebearing ) 
Please note they are not compatible with snail eating species such as yoyo loaches
